Before going vegan I was 160-165 pounds. I couldn't seem to lose the excess weight for long no matter what I did. I worked out at the gym three to four days a week. I tried changing my eating habits, stopped late-night bingeing, I even tried fasting. Nothing worked. I felt bloated, tired and sluggish all the time. I had no energy or motivation to do much of anything. Working a twelve-hour night shift didn't help matters. All I wanted to do is sleep all day. I didn't feel comfortable in my own skin. My clothes didn't fit right and I never like looking at myself without them. I was very unsatisfied and unhappy with myself. I knew something had to change. Here I was about to turn fifty-one and so far from the goal I'd set for myself as I could be! I decided on Oct. 7th, my fifty-first birthday I'd had enough! I was determined to make a lifestyle change for the betterment of not just myself and my health but for the animals and the environment. Maybe you're feeling stuck in your weight loss journey or feel like you've tried everything you know to do and it's still not working for you. Maybe you have health issues that the doctors can't seem to fix. You may just want a lifestyle change like me. Whatever the case may be, I'd like to encourage you to give it a try. Even looking back at this picture makes me thankful that I took the step to make a change. I've never felt better in my life! I did it and so can you! You've Got This! Go for it!
